Responsibilities:
Code Development: Write, test, and debug code to build and maintain software applications.
Bug Fixing: Identify and resolve software defects (bugs) by troubleshooting and debugging code.
Testing: Conduct thorough testing of software to ensure functionality, performance, and security standards are met.
Code Maintenance & Review: Participate in code reviews to improve code quality and learn best practices. Assist in maintaining and updating legacy code as needed
Research and Learning: Stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and industry trends. Conduct research and apply new knowledge to projects.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to achieve project goals.
Performance Optimization: Identify and implement performance improvements in existing code and applications.
Project Support: Assist in project management tasks, including task tracking, status reporting, and coordination with team members.
Adherence to Coding Standards: Follow coding standards and guidelines established by the organization.
Communication: Effectively communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to team members and supervisors.
Meeting Deadlines: Complete tasks and projects within established timelines and priorities.
Problem Solving: Develop problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and propose solutions.
Feedback Integration: Be open to receiving feedback from senior developers and incorporate it into your work to improve your skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
Enrollment in a Relevant Degree Program: Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, Management, Marketing, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Data analytics skills or foundational knowledge in programming, including basic understanding of programming concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
Functional knowledge of Typescript, Python (focus on data jockeying), AWS (including Lambda and S3), web scraping, APIs, GitHub, and some Docker.
Problem-solving abilities: Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to approach technical challenges logically.
Teamwork: Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
Desire to Learn: Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and programming languages.
Time Management: Capability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines.
Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
